Job description

Full-Time | $36,000 Base + Uncapped Commission | OTE $46,250 | Benefits

Palmetto Preschool | Wilmington, NC & Myrtle Beach, SC

About Palmetto Preschool

Palmetto Preschool is a family of preschools serving families across four campuses: Northchase and Myrtle Grove in Wilmington, NC, and Market Common and Carolina Forest in Myrtle Beach, SC. We have spent years caring for children and building trusted relationships with the families in our communities. Enrollment is the heartbeat of our schools, and this role owns it.

The Role

We are hiring a full-time Sales Development Representative to run the enrollment engine across all four campuses. This is not a call-center seat. You will own the enrollment pipeline end to end: developing enrollment strategy, managing and prioritizing every inbound lead, analyzing what converts and why, and partnering with campus directors and our marketing agency to keep our classrooms full. You will guide families from first inquiry to first day, and you will shape how Palmetto enrolls, not just execute a script.

Salaried, exempt position:guaranteed base salary + uncapped per-enrollment commission + benefits, with on-target earnings of $46,250 and no ceiling above that. Remote-friendly within the Wilmington/Myrtle Beach region; regular campus visits expected.

What You Will Own

Enrollment strategy & operations

  • Develop enrollment strategies and initiatives to improve conversion rates across all four campuses
  • Manage all inbound leads and decide how the pipeline is prioritized and worked
  • Track, analyze, and report conversion metrics; deliver weekly enrollment data to leadership
  • Make pricing and promotion recommendations within company guidelines
  • Work with campus directors on occupancy goals and negotiate enrollment timing with families
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with our agency (Enrollment Pros) to keep lead flow and messaging aligned

Family experience

  • Respond to every inquiry within established timelines
  • Conduct virtual and phone consultations with prospective families
  • Schedule campus tours and follow up after every tour
  • Maintain CRM accuracy so nothing falls through the cracks

What You Bring

  • 2+ years in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or a pipeline-ownership role (childcare or education a plus, not required)
  • Comfort owning a number: you like being measured on conversion and occupancy
  • Analytical habits: you look at the data before you change the play
  • Strong CRM discipline and clear, warm communication with families
  • Self-direction: you will run this function with real autonomy and real judgment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $36,000 per year, guaranteed, paid on a salary basis
  • Commission: $25 for every completed enrollment, paid as a one-time commission per enrollment, uncapped, on top of base. Enrollment must also have verified sales activity from the SDR logged in the CRM. Qualifying sales activity includes phone calls, manual texts and manual emails sent to the parent.
  • On-target earnings (OTE): $46,250 per year, which is $36,000 base plus roughly $10,250 in commission at our current six-month average enrollment pace across all four campuses. Commission is uncapped, so beating that pace pays more.
  • Benefits: healthcare coverage, paid time off, childcare discount, and career growth within a multi-campus organization
  • Full-time, salaried exempt position

How to Apply

Apply online at palmettopreschool.com/careers. Include a short note on an enrollment, sales, or admissions result you are proud of and how you got it. We review every application and respond within one week.
