CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Entry-Level Electrical Service Estimator
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Service Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on electrical field experience who is interested in transitioning into an office-based estimating and project support role.
  • Review electrical service technician assessments, photos, notes, and jobsite documentation.
  • Develop clear and accurate scopes of work for electrical repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for service projects.
  • Perform material takeoffs and assist with material pricing.
  • Obtain pricing and availability from vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare customer proposals and estimates for electrical service work.
  • Identify missing information in field assessments and communicate with technicians or operations teams to obtain clarification.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, equipment information, and manufacturer documentation as needed.
  • Assist with estimating lighting repairs and retrofits, electrical distribution, branch circuits, panels, breakers, disconnects, receptacles, controls, and other commercial electrical work.
  • Coordinate with operations, project management, purchasing, and field personnel to ensure estimates accurately reflect site conditions and required work.
  • Maintain organized estimate documentation and follow up on outstanding pricing or information.
  • Learn company estimating procedures, pricing standards, and customer requirements.
  • Assist with larger electrical and special projects as experience develops.

Previous estimating experience is not required. We are looking for someone who understands electrical work from the field and can apply that knowledge to reviewing technician assessments, developing scopes of work, determining labor and material requirements, and preparing accurate service proposals.
The ideal candidate has worked as an electrical apprentice, electrician, electrical service technician, or in a similar field role and is ready to grow into the estimating side of the electrical industry.
