Tesseraisseekinga knowledgeable and efficient HVAC Mechanic. The HVAC Mechanicis responsible forinstallation, diagnosis, service, and repair of environmental-control heating and air-conditioning units in a variety of buildings and building types. The HVAC Mechanic applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as arranging and cleaning tools, replacing simple components, changing filters, wraps pipes in insulation and secures them in place with cement or wire bands, fuses, and may adjust some controls using portable equipment and hand tools. This person works under closesupervisionreceiving technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checkedfrequentlyfor accuracy.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Install,maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and laboratory environments.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot system malfunctions using wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Fabricate and install ductwork, piping, and chassis components using metalworking and welding tools.

  • Replace and repair electrical components such as breakers, thermostats, switches, fuses, and wiring.

  • Connect and test motors, compressors, control panels, and refrigerant circuits for proper operation.

  • Diagnose complex issues and recommend repair solutions while ensuring quality and safety standards.

  • Communicate with customersregardingfindings, repair needs, and service updates; respond to inquiries and concerns.

  • Coordinate with schedulers on job status and use handheld devices for documentation and material orders.

  • Participate in on-call rotations andmaintainprofessional appearance and conduct.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years in HVAC

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Mustpossessexcellent oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability toperformthe following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance. The physical demands of this position may bereasonably accommodatedfor individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
