Summary

The Human Resources Generalist I supports the day-to-day administration of Human Resources programs and services across multiple HR functional areas, including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Compliance, and HR Operations. This entry-level position provides administrative, operational, and customer service support while assisting with the execution of HR processes that support the employee lifecycle.


This role partners with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional departments to deliver responsive HR support, maintain accurate employee records, assist with HR projects, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws. This position offers broad exposure to all Human Resources functions and provides opportunities for professional development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Support daily Human Resources operations across Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Compliance, and HR Administration.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, employee documentation, and pre-employment processes.
  • Maintain employee records and process personnel transactions within HRIS while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with payroll preparation, timekeeping administration, and employee payroll inquiries.
  • Support employee benefits administration, enrollment activities, life event changes, and employee benefit communications.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities including scheduling interviews, posting positions, communicating with candidates, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist with new hire orientation, onboarding activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support employee relations activities by maintaining documentation, coordinating meetings, and assisting with investigations as directed.
  • Assist with training coordination, learning management activities, and employee development programs.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, dashboards, and spreadsheets utilizing HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Support HR compliance activities by maintaining required documentation and assisting with internal audits and record retention requirements.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, company events, and workforce engagement activities.
  • Provide professional customer service by responding to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and HR programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, company, and business information at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in HR projects as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR-related certification is a plus.


Experience

  • 0-2 years of Human Resources, administrative, customer service, office administration, or related professional experience preferred.
  • Internship, co-op, or campus leadership experience related to Human Resources or Business is a plus.
  • Experience supporting multiple priorities in a professional office or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar systems preferred.
