About the Role

The Business Services Recruiting Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support in all recruitment activities, such as screening CVs/resumes and video interviews, meeting and greeting candidates, and preparing reports, while assisting with all phases of the recruiting process on a global scale, including managing candidate correspondence and setting up interviews and assessments. This role will be located in our Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Managing interview logistics, soliciting, and collating interview feedback as necessary
  • Collaborating with Business Services Recruiting Specialists regularly to assist with ad hoc tasks as needed and ensure a seamless recruitment process
  • Recording, compiling, and analyzing recruiting data, by providing reports and executive summaries regarding the effectiveness of staffing campaigns
  • Coordinating with other departments of the firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures and communications to streamline processes
  • Participating in project and initiative teams that may include but are not limited to, the following areas: process efficiency, data management and analytics, recruitment technology, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

And have:

  • A High school diploma or an equivalent, with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative role in a mid-size to large company, preferably
  • Experience in recruitment, preferably
