Job description

Administrative Professional - Human Resources

The Administrative Professional - Human Resources is responsible for providing administrative support and the Human Resources operations for program personnel. The Administrative Professional - Human Resources should be committed to Sanctuary practice utilizing tools that reinforce our shared language to create a trauma-responsive culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain active roster of current applicants and status of processing.
  2. Assist with updating applicant information in Paylocity Recruiting.
  3. Ensure all hiring policies of licensing agencies, and GBCH&FM are followed including paperwork, fingerprints, and vaccinations are completed.
  4. Ensure all pre-service training required by the state, federal, and agency are completed by each new hire prior to the employee working with youth.
  5. Prepare paperwork and data entry required to place employee on payroll and establishes personnel file.
  6. Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  7. Become notary public or maintain notary public status as assigned.
  8. Utilize personal safety plan for managing emotions and interaction with staff and clients.
  9. Maintains I-9 records and retention in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  10. Participate in PQI process for assigned program.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Keep office running smoothly/efficiently within the team approach.
  2. Serve as office manager.
  3. Maintain keys and car permits for employee's vehicles.
  4. Be aware of budget management and work toward stewardship, efficiency, and accountability.
  5. Represent agency favorably at all times.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 21 years of age
  2. A high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in Human Resources related field (Prefer minimum of bachelor's degree in related field).
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  4. Project a professional image through in-person, phone, and electronic interactions
  5. Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally lift/carry parcels up to 35 pounds.
  6. Read and interpret documents/procedure manuals.
  7. Possess the ability, flexibility, and maturity to render the duties and responsibilities required of this position.
  8. Have the ability to manage time, set priorities and to organize and follow structured routines.
  9. Advanced computer skills including Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new software applications.
  10. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  11. Able to show proof of required vaccinations/immunizations.

  • Exhibit tactfulness and good judgment in dealing with people.
  • Familiar with traditional Baptist tenets, customs and practices and shall maintain a compatible lifestyle.
  • Meet all employee guidelines and qualifications as outlined by GBCH&FM license, contracts, and accreditation.
  • Have the ability to work in partnership with other members in a team approach.
  • Arrive to work on time and as scheduled.

  • Utilize the Sanctuary Model of Care and conduct job responsibilities in a trauma-responsive manner.

  • Complete staff development hours required within the program.
  • Favorable MVR and fingerprint results as required.
  • Maintain valid State Driver's License as required.
