Hiring Material Handler - Construction Supplies Distributor in Outdoor Environment

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to support our production and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

This is a highly physical position and is not a typical indoor warehouse job. Candidates must be comfortable performing strenuous labor throughout the day and working outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow. The ideal candidate understands the physical demands of the role and is prepared to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipments
  • Stage and organize materials to support production and inventory needs
  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including material verification and movement
  • Follow all company safety procedures and workplace guidelines
  • Interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Assist with inventory organization, tracking, and material storage
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Perform general labor duties, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive movement
  • Work outdoors regularly while handling and transporting materials throughout the facility
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing, construction, landscaping, material handling, or similar physically demanding environment
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
