Job Title: Material Handler
Job Location: Chelsea, MA
Job Duration: 6 months on W2
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
The Material Handler I supports the movement, handling, and storage of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods within a cGMP manufacturing environment. This entry-level role focuses on accurate material handling, inventory support, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to internal departments as required
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
  • Perform basic inventory activities including cycle counts and stock verification
  • Accurately complete documentation and perform data entry in inventory systems
  • Assist in packaging and preparing materials for internal movement or shipment
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Follow company policies, SOPs, and cGMP requirements
  • Collaborate with team members and support additional warehouse operations as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate's degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments
  • Experience in GMP/FDA-regulated or biotechnology environments (preferred)
  • Forklift experience required; valid forklift certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kanban, JIT, FEFO) preferred
