Job description

Job Details:

Starting Pay: $18.10/hr plus $2.00 shift premium

Summary: This position is responsible for loading Feed Trucks, unloading Feed Delivery Trucks, Hopper bottom trucks and rail cars at this facility following Packers and Stockyards Procedures.

Tasks: This position is responsible for loading Feed Trucks, unloading Feed Delivery Trucks, Hopper bottom trucks at this facility following Packers and Stockyards Procedures. Perform Feed Order/Deliver System Functions. Report needed repairs to equipment. Assist in repair of equipment. Operate receiving equipment. Fill in for Team Members who are absent or on vacation. Run errands. Keep work areas clean.

Requirements: Must have basic computer skills--experience using SAP, Workday, MTech, and other Tyson Feed Systems preferred. Must have basic mechanical skills. Must be willing to read and write. Must be willing and able to operate receiving equipment. Must be willing and able to lift more than 50 lbs. Must be willing to use a broom, shovel, dustpan, and air wand. Must be willing and able to use an 8 lb. to 12 lb. sledgehammer. Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs. Must be willing to work in elevated area. Must be willing to ride in a man-lift. Must have a valid Alabama Driver License with a good driving record. Must be willing to participate in team efforts. Must be willing to cross-train on all positions. Must be willing to work flexible hours. Must be willing to follow Mill Safety Rules. Must be willing to work in extreme heat and cold. Must be willing to work in a dusty environment.

Requirements:

Must have a total of six (6) months of machine operator experience. Experience may be a combination of employers as long as the total experience equals at least six (6) months.

Must have a total of six (6) months of continuous work experience with one (1) employer within the last twenty-four (24) months, regardless of whether the position held was an Operator position or not.
