Job description

  • LOCATION: Downtown Austin - Seaholm District.
  • SCHEDULE: 5 days per week (40 hours): 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. It may include weekends.
  • PAY RATE: $20 per hour.

About the Role
We're looking for a dependable and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of a luxury condominium community. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role plays a key part in keeping common areas and residential units operating smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on skills who enjoys variety and takes pride in quality work.
What You'll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
  • Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
  • Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
  • Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
  • Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
  • Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
  • Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.

Requirements
What You Need to Succeed
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and use of common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair tasks under the direction of the Engineering team.
  • Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.
