Job description

Description
  • Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo
  • Department: HIM Medical Record Completion
  • Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
  • Shift: Days
  • Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is 100% remote. MUST reside in the state of Colorado.
Summary:
Maintains accuracy, integrity and completeness of health information.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and validates medical records and related documentation per established guidelines.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies, researches and corrects inaccurate or incomplete records.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification and resolution.
  • Prepares reports, presentations and other documents as instructed.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree. Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
  • Preferred: Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
  • Related experience preferred.
