Job description

In-Home Sales Consultant

If you're at your best sitting across from a customer, understanding what they actually need, working through objections and earning the sale, this role was built around that skill set.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Model: In-person / field-based - Delaware

Schedule: Full-time with flexibility for homeowner appointment availability. Office-based between field appointments.

About the Role

Delaware Homebuyers is adding an In-Home Sales Consultant to meet directly with homeowners considering selling their property.

You'll walk into conversations where listening and problem-solving matter.

Your job is to understand the homeowner's situation, evaluate the opportunity, explain the available solution, negotiate terms and earn a signed agreement when there's a fit.

You'll also own the follow-up.

Between appointments, you'll work from our office making calls, staying connected with homeowners and creating additional opportunities instead of relying exclusively on incoming leads.

If you've succeeded in roofing, HVAC, remodeling, solar, automotive or another high-ticket B2C environment, the core sales skills translate well.

Responsibilities
  • Meet homeowners face-to-face at qualified appointments.
  • Understand motivation, timing, property condition and desired outcomes.
  • Build rapport and credibility quickly.
  • Present solutions and confidently negotiate agreements.
  • Follow up persistently and professionally with undecided homeowners.
  • Prospect by phone between appointments to create additional opportunities.
  • Manage your pipeline and follow-up activity through Salesforce.
  • Learn our property valuation and acquisition process.
  • Consistently improve your closing performance.
Qualifications

We're primarily looking for sales ability—not a specific real estate background.

You should bring:

  • Strong face-to-face closing ability.
  • Excellent phone communication.
  • Confidence handling objections and negotiating.
  • Strong follow-through.
  • Personal accountability for results.
  • Coachability and willingness to use a defined sales process.
  • Reliable transportation and comfort driving to appointments throughout Delaware.
Compensation

You'll receive base compensation plus performance-based commission during your ramp period.

As you become fully productive, compensation is expected to become increasingly performance-driven, with uncapped upside tied to closed production.

OTE

Current company economics support a realistic fully-ramped target of approximately $80,000–$120,000+.

Top Performer Earnings Potential

Strong performers with sufficient opportunity volume may reach approximately $120,000–$150,000+.

Higher earnings may become possible as marketing and appointment volume expand. Earnings aren't guaranteed.

Benefits

Health insurance reimbursement, life insurance, 10 days PTO, 5 paid sick days and 6 paid company holidays.
