Associate Information Technology

Family Church Network

Position Overview: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the WAN/LAN, end-user computing and break/fix repair work for the Information Technology department of the Family Church Network.

Reports to: Director Information Technology

Prerequisites:

  • Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of Family Church.
  • Affirm the FCN statements of belief and practices as codified in our organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement of 2000.
  • Maintain a close and healthy walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence and moral character.
  • Record of consistent, high-level performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
  • Professional and positive demeanor.
  • Experience in basic networking and wireless installation and monitoring.
  • Experience in basic break/fix troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experience with PC and Mac is preferred.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field or experience equivalent.

General Responsibilities:

  • Receive and resolve tickets from staff (PC and Mac).
  • Utilize an online system to track, prioritize and report on ticket statuses.
  • Rotate on-call responsibilities with fellow team members.
  • Assist in monitoring network availability.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories of related assets.
  • Coordinate third-party installations and repair work as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a stressful work environment.
  • Maintain cooperative spirit assisting others when needed or requested.
  • Professionally communicate with leadership and staff.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of church resources including supplies, equipment and intellectual property.
  • Understand and adhere to procedural guidelines and policies.
  • Install, configure, and deploy computers.
  • Maintain user accounts.
  • Follow established procedures for IT functions, such as a standard configuration for a computer reinstall.
