Bring Better to the Bedside as a Hospital Medicine Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner in Albuquerque, New Mexico at University of New Mexico Hospital

We are hiring for a nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
  • Join our well-established team of fourteen physicians and two nocturnist APPs at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
  • Work alongside a unique group of clinicians with diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
  • We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Active NP license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
  • Acute care certification required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Flexible Scheduling:
  • 7pm-7am, 7 on/off
  • We offer various flexible scheduling options to promote a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound's internal informatics platform.
  • Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
  • The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.
