Fertility Medical Assistant

Seattle, WA

IVI RMA North America is a leading fertility care network dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their family-building goals. We are currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Seattle-area clinical team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct patient care, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting, and is interested in developing specialized experience in fertility and women's health. Whether you are early in your career or looking to expand your clinical skills, our experienced team provides training and mentorship to support your professional growth.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Rotating weekend coverage approximately once every four weeks
  • Occasional holiday or extended-hour support as needed
What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, you will play an important role in supporting physicians, nurses, and patients throughout the fertility treatment journey. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional patient service while ensuring clinical operations run efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support providers during examinations, treatments, and office-based procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens following established protocols
  • Assist with patient intake, preparation, and clinical flow throughout the day
  • Document ultrasound findings, physician observations, and treatment information within electronic medical records
  • Serve as a chaperone during ultrasound appointments when needed
  • Collect, label, process, and prepare laboratory specimens for internal and external testing
  • Communicate laboratory results and documentation to providers for review
  • Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and treatment areas according to infection-control standards
  • Ensure procedure and exam rooms remain clean, organized, and appropriately stocked
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of clinical supplies
  • Educate patients about upcoming appointments and procedures while providing reassurance and support throughout their care experience
  • Adhere to clinic policies, patient confidentiality standards, and safety procedures
QualificationsRequired
  • Completion of a recognized Phlebotomy Training Program
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification
  • At least 6 months of experience in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and schedule adjustments as needed
Preferred
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant training program
  • Previous experience in women's health, OB/GYN, fertility, or reproductive healthcare
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to learn and navigate healthcare software and EMR platforms
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting patient information and clinical data
