Position: Machinist Location: Cary, Illinois
Are you looking to grow your career in precision machining? Do you enjoy working with advanced CNC equipment and producing high-quality components that support cutting-edge technology? Coilcraft, Inc. is a privately held global manufacturer headquartered in Cary, Illinois, with a 75+ year reputation for engineering excellence. Our high-performance magnetic components are used in telecommunications, automotive, computing, broadband communications, and consumer electronics around the world. We're looking for an Entry-Level CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of machining experience-or recent trade school or apprenticeship experience-to continue developing their skills while working alongside experienced machinists in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.
About the Role and Your Impact
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
  • Make basic tool offsets and machine adjustments
  • Monitor machine performance and part quality
  • Maintain production and inspection records
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Work with engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Follow company safety and quality standards
Who We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of CNC machining experience preferred (trade school/apprenticeship accepted)
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Experience with precision measuring tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic

  • Experience with CNC mills or lathes
  • Basic G-Code knowledge
