Entry-level hazmat drivers with a CDL license can potentially earn $75,000 or more annually by transporting hazardous materials, which often requires specialized training and certifications. Higher earnings are typically associated with experience, additional endorsements, and working for companies that handle high-risk or specialized freight, often involving longer routes or night shifts.

Entry level hazmat drivers can potentially earn high weekly pay through specialized roles that involve hazardous materials transportation, often requiring certifications like HAZMAT and CDL. While some companies may advertise high earnings, such pay rates are typically associated with experienced drivers, overtime, or specialized contracts, rather than entry-level positions. Prospective drivers should verify pay details directly with employers and ensure they meet all safety and certification requirements.

How do you become a HazMat driver?

To become an entry-level HazMat driver, you typically need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement, which requires passing a background check and a written exam on safety and regulations. Some employers also prefer candidates with a clean driving record and experience driving large vehicles; additional training on handling hazardous materials is often provided on the job.

These imposter advertisements sometimes contain contact information for interested applicants that are different from an employer's career website or company email address. Such imposter job advertisements typically include promises of high-paying jobs with the requirement that job seekers first send sensitive personal information or money to pay for things such as visa applications or processing fees.
Please be advised that GreenPoint Ag will never ask a potential job seeker for any sort of advance payment as part of the recruitment or hiring process. You should look carefully at any email address that you are instructed to use to submit a job application. All email correspondence from GreenPoint Ag ends in "@greenpointag.com."
