Job Description

We need a DevOps engineer with strong Amazon Web Services experience. We're looking to work with someone for about 2 months on infrastructure projects on our Kubernetes cluster on AWS as well as on our CI pipeline.

In this role, you'll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. And troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

Qualifications
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
  • Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
  • A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Additional Information

We are a team of former Google Engineers and Designers based in Silicon Valley, New York and Phuket, Thailand.

All of our core engineers are paid in the $150,000 range or greater and we also provide our engineers the opportunity to work, all expenses paid, from our Phuket, Thailand office one month a year as a creative outlet to work and enjoy life to the fullest.

In this role you will work with some of the most exciting projects in the industry today with a team of fast moving engineers and designers who have a passion for building disruptive products.
