Position Summary:

The QA Inspector I is responsible for performing basic inspections of materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. This entry-level role supports the organization’s quality assurance efforts by identifying defects, documenting inspection results, and working with production teams to ensure product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, inprocess items, and finished goods.
  • Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers to measure product features.
  • Compare product characteristics to drawings, specifications, or samples.
  • Accurately document inspection results and complete required quality forms or logs.
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials or products.
  • Assist with sample collection for testing, audits, or evaluations.
  • Tag, quarantine, or segregate defective or suspect materials per quality procedures.
  • Work closely with production, assembly, and shipping teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Follow all company policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 02 years of experience in a quality assurance or inspection role (training provided).
  • Basic understanding of inspection tools and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, quality checklists, or blueprints (basic level).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality systems is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
