Athletics Game Presentation Student Assistant (Fall)

Position Introduction:
Job Functions: To advance the mission and values of the OU Athletics Department by gaining hands-on experience
in sports marketing, event production, and game presentation. This position is designed for full-time OU students
who have a strong interest in the sports industry and are seeking an introductory opportunity to gain experience in
athletics marketing and live event production. Student assistants in this role will support the execution of in-venue game
presentation elements across OU Athletics events while gaining exposure to the planning and coordination required to
produce engaging fan experiences. The OU Athletics Game Presentation Student Assistant position is intended to be an
educational, entry-level experience for students exploring careers in sports marketing and event production.
Job Duties:
  • Support the Fan Engagement and Event Presentation staff in all aspects of event operations, including event preparation,
    game production and execution, grassroots marketing, and other assigned event duties.
  • Assist with the execution of in-venue game presentation elements, including fan interactive contests, sponsored
    promotions, giveaways, and on-field or in-stand activations.
  • Help coordinate and execute timing elements of live game production, including band performances, team entrances,
    spirit squad performances, flyovers, and other scripted show elements.
  • Contribute to creating a fun, engaging, and family-friendly environment at athletics competitions and community events.
  • Have a presence at community outreach events, promotional appearances, and gamedays.
  • Engage with fans and foster relationships with the local community through activations such as Kids Zones and FanFest
    areas.
  • Distribute flyers, posters, and other marketing collateral on campus and in the surrounding community through pop-up
    marketing events.
  • Participate in networking and professional development opportunities with full-time staff across the OU Athletics Department and other campus units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Conference, and The University of Oklahoma. Know, understand, and reinforce commitment to NCAA and Conference rules, and report violations or suspected violations to the Athletics Compliance Department.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
