The Role  

The Jr Fiber Network Designer is an entry level full-time, individual contributor who is part of the fiber network planning team for Forged Fiber 37. This opportunity is part of a Network Planning academy that will include a telecom training program and be part of in-person cohort at our downtown Denver, CO office. This role is a great opportunity to start a career in the fiber business by learning how to plan and construct telecom networks.   

Work Location -This role will report in person daily to the Denver, CO office.  

                             1200 17th St, Denver, CO 80202

                             Parking at the office is paid for by Forged Fiber 37. 

The Main Responsibilities  

  • Produce distribution fiber network plans in 3GIS according to established planning guidelines. 

  • Utilize existing tooling to produce a desktop costing estimate for new residential & overbuild projects. 

  • Ensure accuracy of designs and costing before submitting designs for funding approval 

  • Work with Engineering partners to ensure designs comply with local restrictions and guidance. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

The Jr Fiber Network Designer is a strong, self-motivated individual with the ability to communicate professionally in a dynamic and fast paced environment while maintaining the highest level of integrity and quality in their work.  Required skills, tools, and guidelines for this position will be taught during the first month of employment in Planning Academy.

Main Requirements 

Required Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree or relevant experience in a technical field 

  • Some proficiency with Microsoft Excel or equivalent program. 

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • High proficiency reading and interacting with electronic maps such as Google Maps or Apple Maps 

  • Significant experience with fast and accurate PC mouse usage, computer gaming experience is a plus 

  • Must be adept at collaborating with others, at all levels in the organization RSRFF37

Compensation 

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. 

 Location Based Pay Ranges: 

$54,000-$104,000
