Learn the necessary skills to become an effective Broker (Risk Management Consultant) by completing required training and working with experienced Risk Management Consultant(s) to receive skills in developing a client base and commodity risk management programs for those clients. This opportunity provides high levels of prospects for promotion, and long-term financial rewards including generous salaries and large bonuses.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Identify, prospect, and contact potential clients to educate them on energy trading and risk management
  • Build a book of business consisting of consultancy program income as well as energy futures trade income
  • Analyze individual client operations to determine market exposure, price sensitivity, and financial risks
  • Attend trade conferences, seminars, and symposiums to represent products, increase contact with the existing client base, and identify new opportunities
  • Execute futures, options, and swaps that support energy risk management strategies
  • Educate and inform customers of hedging opportunities
Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a busy, demanding environment
  • Professional and mature communicator
  • Numerically capable with advanced proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheet creation and cell formulas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to get along with a variety of people and personalities

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Series 3 certification required within 60 days of employment

  • Series 3 certification required within 60 days of employment
