The Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to collaborate with Researchers and ML Engineers to produce AI applications and solutions based on next gen AI research. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development teams and product managers to implement innovative software solutions based on requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to develop entire architecture, responsive design, user interaction, and user experience.
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture

  • Contribute to research publications and represent MBZUAI at industry conferences and events, showcasing the institution's cutting-edge HPC and deep learning capabilities and establishing MBZUAI as a global leader in AI research and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property and thought leadership in the field of high-performance computing for deep learning
  • Perform all other duties as reasonably directed by the line manager that are commensurate with these functional objectives.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Computer Science or relevant field required
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science or relevant field preferred

Professional Experience

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Experience working with AI algorithms and the ability to develop systems accommodating AI related requirements
  • Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with common stacks
  • Familiarity with AJAX, GitHub & Git
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js/NPM)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams.

$150,000 - $450,000 a year
