They are usually recent graduates or individuals with limited industry experience who possess foundational programming skills in multiple technologies. Their responsibilities often include writing and debugging code, collaborating with team members, and learning new tools and frameworks as required. Entry-level full stack developers are expected to build and maintain applications under the guidance of more senior developers, gradually expanding their expertise and responsibilities over time.

What does an entry level full stack software developer do?

Entry-level full stack software developers support senior staff in the development of a company at all layers of its computer and network platforms. In this role, you may code content for both the front-end and back-end of the system, evaluate existing programming to determine whether or not it should be changed, and help optimize operations. Entry-level full stack software engineers code in a variety of languages, including PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. As an entry-level employee, your main job is to learn more about programming in a business environment until you are proficient with the company's network operations. Problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication are standout soft skills for collaborating with colleagues and tackling complex coding challenges. These skills and qualities are crucial to efficiently build, test, and maintain applications in dynamic development environments.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level full stack software developers, and how can they overcome them?

Entry level full stack software developers often encounter challenges such as juggling multiple technologies (frontend, backend, databases), understanding codebases quickly, and adapting to different team workflows. To overcome these, it's helpful to actively seek mentorship, regularly communicate with team members, and take advantage of onboarding resources provided by the company. Embracing a growth mindset and asking questions when uncertain can also accelerate learning and help integrate more smoothly into the team.

Simulation Software Sales Executive – Aerospace & Turbomachinery

About SoftInWay

SoftInWay is a global engineering software company specializing in turbomachinery, thermal-fluid, and system simulation solutions. Our flagship platform, AxSTREAM, is used by leading aerospace, energy, and industrial companies worldwide to design, analyze, and optimize rotating machinery and complex thermo-fluid systems.

We work with engineers who build real machines—not slideware.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Simulation Software Sales Executive based in CA, USA with proven experience selling engineering or simulation software into technical organizations. This role is focused on aerospace, defense, and high-end industrial customers, with an emphasis on long-term relationships and consultative selling.

This is not a transactional sales role. Success requires understanding how engineers think, how technical decisions are made, and how simulation tools create real business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell turbomachinery, CFD, 1D thermal/fluid, or system simulation software to aerospace, defense, and advanced engineering customers
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, technical alignment, pricing, negotiation, and closing
  • Build and expand relationships with engineering managers, technical directors, and decision-makers
  • Work closely with application engineers to support evaluations, demos, and technical discussions
  • Leverage existing customer relationships where applicable
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts
  • Represent SoftInWay professionally in customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience selling simulation or engineering software, ideally:
  • Turbomachinery design tools
  • 1D thermal / fluid / system simulation
  • CFD, FEA, or related CAE tools
  • Experience selling to aerospace, defense, space, or advanced industrial customers
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineers and technical leaders
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working in a global, technical sales environment
  • Based in or willing to work from CA, USA.
Highly Preferred
  • Existing customer relationships in aerospace, defense, or turbomachinery sectors
  • Passion for aerospace, propulsion, rotating machinery, or complex engineering systems
  • Experience selling high-value, complex software solutions with long sales cycles
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to sell deep, respected engineering software with real technical differentiation
  • Access to global customers and advanced engineering applications
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentivesHigh autonomy and visibility within a specialized, expert-driven company
