Full Stack Software Engineer

Full Time Professional Moffett Field, CA, US

Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $220,000.00 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

Metis Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Aerospace, Research, Technology, and Simulation (ARTS) contract at NASA Ames Research Center. The Extensible Traffic Management (XTM) Client being developed at NASA’s Ames Research Center is an application designed to provide an airspace integration capability between a vehicle and supporting airspace system(s). The client aids in the planning of aircraft operations and provides a real-time interface for message exchanges with supporting airspace systems to provide situation awareness for the aircraft operator and adjacent services. As an agile team, we commit code and perform code reviews with a goal of performing a production push daily. The successful candidate is a motivated self-starter who loves technology and can grow our software platform enabling frequent and seamless production deployments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Puppeteer, Cypress)
  • Experience developing production web applications using React or mobile applications using either Native or React Native frameworks.
  • Experience building scalable server-side applications using JS frameworks such as Express and Nest
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes
  • Deep understanding of front-end architecture and data-driven development
  • Ability to work with designers to develop dynamic user experiences
  • Experience with large scale single-page web applications
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts, multi-threading, MVC, and common design patterns, SQL/NoSQL Databases
  • Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well. Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.
