Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Full Stack Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Develop high-volume web applications for Barclays' Cards Platform Technology business.

  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

  • Confer with stakeholders across the team to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.

  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

  • Develop high performing distributed web applications.

  • Design and build software with integrated GenAI features, ensuring efficient and reusable code.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing, building and deploying both software and AI models.

  • Build scalable, cloud-native software with microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless architectures, using GitLab CI/CD for automated deployments and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid role]

Minimum Salary: $131,997 per year

Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
