Summary: 
The Full-Stack Web Developer I is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications across both front-end and back-end components. This entry-level position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective and efficient code solutions. The Developer I will primarily work on our A/B testing team within the Marketing department. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for our A/B testing initiatives. 
  • Monitor, fix or build front-end tracking for our web analytics platform. 
  • Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications. 
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code. 
  • Work on integrating APIs and third-party services. 
  • Contribute to database design and data management tasks. 
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and programming trends. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Basic understanding of both front-end and back-end development. 
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one server-side language (e.g., Node.js, PHP). 
  • Experience in Amplitude Web Experiment and Google Tag Manager are a plus. 
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git. 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in web development, internships, or freelance projects. 
  • Experience with Shopify + Liquid templates.  

Required Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1 year of experience in on-the-job web development, outside of coursework.

Work Environment: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment. 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.  Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager. 


Physical Demands: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
