Summary of Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains web pages and sites using the approved content management system.
  • Uses HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other related front-end web languages to create and maintain UVU public-and internal-facing websites following University web guidelines and industry web best practices.
  • Works with assigned departments and personnel to provide web assistance, basic maintenance, content management, and technical support.
  • Works with departments to organize and guide projects, such as website builds, by following departmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensures that projects stay within timeline, scope, and standard development methods and functionality.
  • Keeps up-to-date on front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery best practices, web accessibility guidelines, web analytics, SEO, and other related skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • A High School Diploma, or GED.
  • Experience in front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with a content management system (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
  • Experience in responsive design and building web pages for multiple browsers and platforms.
  • Experience with web standards and accessibility guidelines.
