Batch Plant Utility
POSITION PURPOSE
The entry-level Batch Utility associate works as part of a team to produce and deliver acceptable quality concrete to meet production schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Waste disposal throughout the shift as needed
  • Collect and prepare materials as directed
  • Operate front-end loader to fill mixers with raw material
  • Perform required pre-operational checklists as required
  • Assist with operation of batch plant mixing and reclamation systems
  • Periodically check mixers for buildup; clean as needed throughout shift
  • Manage, control, and replenish raw material inventory as needed
  • Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout and confined space entry processes
  • Comply with Metromont's stormwater pollution and prevention plan
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations
