Position Description
Technician I's perform entry-level duties, under close supervision, as assigned in the repair of the facility. As skills and knowledge are developed, Team Members are expected to perform more complex and challenging responsibilities. Team Members may advance to the higher level (Technician II) after demonstrating the ability to perform the full level duties of Technician I, which generally requires one to two years of experience.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems like plumbing, and restrooms, as well as make minor repairs to carpentry, painting, and fixtures.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Work Order Completion: Respond to and complete work orders for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate tools and equipment required for facility upkeep.
- Inventory: Help manage and track maintenance supplies and inventory.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Delivery: Follow reservation schedule to deliver and pickup lift equipment to team members on time.
- Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting, hand and electric powered tools.
- Ability to diagnose basic issues and find solutions.
- Ability to manage tasks and maintain records of maintenance performed.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Comfortable working in various environments and weather conditions, including at heights.
- Must have a current and valid California driver’s license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
