Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Tube Bending Technician to join our small, high-performing production team. This role is responsible for learning and supporting all aspects of tube fabrication, including cutting, sanding, deburring, bending, flaring, polishing, and related processes.

A key aspect of this role includes learning to operate and program a 7-axis CNC tube bending machine, along with associated production equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality work in a safety-focused, general aviation environment. This position offers full training and opportunities to develop technical skills in precision manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform tube fabrication processes, including: 
    • Cutting tubing to specification
    • Sanding and surface preparation
    • Deburring inside and outside edges
    • Operating tube bending equipment, including a 7-axis CNC tube bending machine
    • Learning machine setup, tooling, and basic programming functions
    • Flaring tube ends
    • Polishing and finishing components
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and production machinery safely and effectively
  • Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications
  • Use ERP and digital systems to: 
    • Access work orders, prints, and drawings
    • Record production data and job progress
  • Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with strict aviation standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S principles)
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and quality control procedures
  • Continuously develop skills and cross-train across all tube fabrication processes

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes quickly
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive, precision tasks
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to: 
    • Navigate ERP systems or similar software
    • Access and interpret digital work instructions, prints, and engineering drawings
  • Reliability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or machinery
  • Prior experience in a shop, fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical environment
