Job Summary

Are you someone who enjoys solving puzzles, working with numbers, and keeping everything organized down to the smallest detail? In this role, you'll gain hands‑on experience supporting a variety of tax activities while learning from experienced professionals and collaborating across the organization. From quarterly reporting to tax filings and process improvements, you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and mission‑driven environment.

What You Will Do

As a Tax Accountant, you'll support the company's tax operations by owning the process for indirect tax filings, assisting in the preparation of the federal and state income tax filings, supporting the quarterly income tax provision process, maintaining tax schedules and reconciliations, and helping ensure compliance with reporting requirements. You'll partner with Accounting and FP&A teams to gather information, conduct tax research, support SOX controls, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of Centrus' tax function.

We’d Love To Hear From People With
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or related field.
  • 1+ years of accounting, tax, internship, or related experience
  • Basic understanding of federal and state taxation concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience with sales and use tax reporting is a plus
  • Ability to research and document tax-related information
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • The ability to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 810 and 10 CFR 1017 to access export‑controlled information and unclassified controlled nuclear information
A Successful Candidate Brings
  • CPA candidate status or CPA license
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision or OneSource Income Tax and/or other tax provision and compliance applications
  • Experience with Alteryx software
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud reporting and Tax Fixed Assets Module maintenance and/or other ERP Systems
  • Experience with Checkpoint Research Application and/or other research software applications
  • Experience in both corporate and/or public accounting environments
Pay

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
