Job description

NSC Staffing is currently has immediately openings for fire watch technicians in 13 states!!
Objective: Candidates will provide fire watch services for technicians on various client projects across the United States.
Shifts can be anywhere from 4-12 hours daily and typically are an average of 10 hours per day
Pay: $20-25/hour plus $125 per diem per day worked
Site location: wind generator field sites around the US (currently, mostly mid- / southwest- USA)
Individual project duration: most jobs 4 days, with ability / flexibility to stay longer as needed, such as for delays due to scope, weather, etc.
Preference: ability for a fire watch crew to move from one project to another one with the company crews
Scope: be on look out, down tower, for any sparks that may fall from the up-tower area, while company technicians perform hot work up-tower. Fire watch crews do NOT perform hot work up-tower.
Fire watch crew qualifications:
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others in English,
  • ability to stay on task during entire work period,
  • NFPA certified, preferred
  • CPR / First Aid trained,
  • Maintaining professional behavior and appearance while onsite, following all company requireme nts
