The Role

As a customer-facing Technical Consultant, you will build, customize, and deploy Veeva's industry-leading enterprise SaaS platforms and AI solutions directly to customers. Moving beyond theoretical advisory, this hands-on role gives you immediate ownership to translate complex business challenges into production-ready software systems for customers in Life Sciences. We provide comprehensive domain and technical training at the start of the program, making this an ideal accelerator for high-potential graduates eager to build a high-impact career at the intersection of enterprise cloud architecture and client-facing technical services.

Start Dates: October 2026 and July 2027

The Program

As part of the Technical Consultant Development Program, you will:

  • Ramp up quickly. Your journey begins with an intensive, engineering-focused onboarding program designed to build deep technical expertise in Veeva's Vault Platform, APIs, and custom development-while equipping you with the core consulting and customer-facing skills needed to engage directly with clients and ship production code from day one.
  • Learn by doing. Skip the sidelines and routine QA-you'll take on real engineering responsibility within your first three months, writing production code, building custom integrations, and working directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Thrive together. Learn side-by-side with seasoned Technical and Migration Architects who prioritize your growth, guiding you through complex system designs and providing transparent, actionable feedback on your code and client delivery.
  • Build your future. Fast-track your career from Associate to Consultant in less than two years, building a powerful foundation in full-stack implementation, DevOps, and technical consulting while leading complex architecture projects alongside a global team.

What You'll Do

  • Build solutions. Skip basic QA and debugging to write production code, develop custom integrations using Java SDKs and APIs, build DevOps pipelines, and deploy Veeva AI tools on the Vault Platform.
  • Architect and migrate. Work directly with migration architects to design custom backend logic, configure enterprise SaaS platforms, and execute complex data migration scripts for global life sciences clients.
  • Ship internal tooling. Accelerate delivery workflows by developing cutting-edge, developer-facing tools used globally across the Veeva Services engineering team.
  • Own technical delivery. Take on real architectural responsibility from day one, mastering software engineering and client-facing technical strategy to advance from Associate to Consultant in under two years.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with strong technical background.
  • Technical Foundation: Demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Communication: Excellent technical storytelling skills; you enjoy explaining why a specific technical architecture or decision is right for a customer
  • Drive: Thrive in a challenging, intense environment that rewards initiative and rapid learning.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong critical thinking skills and proven track record of academic performance.
  • Integrity: Veeva is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) and a "do the right thing" company; we expect that from all employees.
  • Work Ethic: A commitment to excellence and passion for working hard to achieve results.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20% of the time).
  • Experience : Recent university graduate (up to 2 years postgraduate experience maximum)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Languages: Experience with Python, C, HTML, Java, JavaScript, or SQL.
  • Cloud: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • AI Tools: Experience using AI-powered development tools or CLI assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or similar).

THE PROCESS | Our process is different from most. It is designed to be fast, efficient and respectful. Here are the steps:

  • Application: Submit your resume, short cover letter, and take a personality test.
  • Initial Response: Within one week, we will notify you of your next step via email.
  • Interview & Technical Challenge: The next step is a 60-minute interview with a Veeva leader, followed by a 30-minute technical challenge delivered via Coderpad .
  • Case: After the coding challenge, there is a case exercise with a member of our services team. You will have three days to prepare for the case exercise.
  • Decision: Within one week, we will extend an offer or let you know that we are not moving forward.
  • Commitment: You will have two weeks to accept your offer. We value commitment; once you accept, we will hold a spot for you and expect you to join us on your start date. Accepting an offer and continuing to interview would be an ethical violation in our view.¡

Compensation

  • Starting Salary: $80,000 USD
  • After one year, if you perform well, you will receive a compensation increase and participate in our bonus program

Work Authorization: Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Veeva does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, OPT, or TN status) for this employment position.

Work Where It's Best for You

Work Anywhere means you can work in an office or at home on any given day. It's about getting the work done in the way and place that works best for each person. This applies across all locations and departments.

Work Anywhere does not mean work at any time. We have predictable core hours where employees are generally available for meetings and collaboration. Employees are focused and available during core hours.

We invest in our offices to make them places where our employees like to go. If you work in the office three or more days a week, you will have a dedicated office workspace. Our offices function as hubs to draw people in, create social bonds, and where random connections and mixing of ideas happen. We're investing more in offices, culture, and offsite meetings, not less.

Product teams are organized in regional product hubs for optimal collaboration and live within a time zone of their hub. Our current product hubs are located in Pleasanton, Columbus, Boston, Kansas City, New York City, Raleigh, and Toronto. We create opportunities for teams to get together in person regularly.

Customer-facing roles, such as Sales and Professional Services, live near and/or travel to their customers.

When an employee moves within a country it does not cause a change in salary. Where you live impacts you and your family. Not knowing if your compensation will change if you move can cause stress and uncertainty for everyone. We wanted to eliminate that.

Work at Veeva. Work where it's best for you.

Unlike a traditional corporation, whose only legal duty is to maximize shareholder value, PBCs consider their public benefit purpose and the interests of those materially affected by the corporation's conduct-including customers, employees, and the community-in addition to shareholders' interests.
