Job description

Acceptable Majors

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Materials Engineering

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to begin an internship in Summer 2027
  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Completion of at least two years of mechanical engineering-related coursework from an accredited engineering program

Ideal Candidate

  • Junior or senior class standing
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD modeling and design (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment

Potential Projects

  • Support the department's ongoing 3D model development efforts through CAD model checking and development
  • Provide technical support to field sales by assisting with product issue resolution
  • Assist design engineers with finite element analysis (FEA) projects and documentation
