Job description

Butler Ag is in search of a passionate individual who is interested in learning more about the sales and support operations of our business. The Entry Level Sales Representative is responsible for learning all business functions associated with Butler Ag’s equipment business and providing sales support to various departments as needed. If you illustrate dedication to customer satisfaction and have a passion for equipment, read the job description below and apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Become fluent with all brands, equipment, and services we represent in our Ag business
  • Learn and become an expert user of all relevant business systems such as DBS, BMTS, AX and Texada
  • Job Shadow various departments and individuals at the stores and the corporate office to familiarize yourself with Butler Machinery business processes, programs, procedures, and culture
  • Develop relationships with specific customer accounts assigned to you with a planned approach set forth by your manager
  • Support Ag Product Specialists with machine start-ups or demos throughout the territory
  • Complete all assigned Online Product Training to familiarize yourself with our product offerings.
  • Assist with setting up and participating in farm shows, trade shows and other customer outreach events throughout the territory
  • Travel required: Day trips to support neighboring stores, overnights to attend trade shows/training, and job shadows or support at Corporate or other facilities
  • Works within and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agri-Business or other related major in college or equivalent combination of business experience, training and/or education required
  • Basic knowledge of Ag Equipment or current farming practices required
  • Basic knowledge of retail finance contracts and leasing
  • Problem solving skills
  • Microsoft computer skills
  • Excellent motivation, a self-starter with high energy to learn and do more
  • Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle and meet the company insurability guidelines
  • Willingness to relocate as CAM, Product Specialist, Demo Operator, or other associated jobs that may open across the BMC Territory (ND, SD, NE, MT)
