Job description

Finance Data Analyst
Automation & AI Enablement | SAP Environment
About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, technically curious Finance Data Analyst to join our finance team and help transform how we manage financial data. This role sits at the intersection of finance, automation, and emerging technology — you will work hands-on with financial data to design and build automated journal entry processes, and leverage AI and modern tools to streamline data flow across our finance environment. You will be a key contributor to our digital finance transformation, working extensively within our SAP ecosystem.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves solving problems at the intersection of finance and technology, gets excited about automation, and wants to help modernize traditional finance processes.

Responsibilities:

•      Analyze and interpret financial data from multiple sources to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities

•      Design, build, and maintain automated journal entry processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy

•      Leverage AI tools and technologies (e.g., machine learning models, intelligent automation, generative AI) to streamline recurring finance workflows

•      Develop and optimize data pipelines to improve the flow of financial data between systems

•      Work extensively within SAP to extract, transform, and validate financial data, and to implement automated solutions

•      Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams to understand pain points and translate them into automation and reporting solutions

•      Build dashboards, reports, and reconciliation tools to support month-end close and financial reporting

•      Test, validate, and monitor automated processes to ensure data integrity and compliance with financial controls

•      Document processes, workflows, and automation logic for audit and knowledge-sharing purposes

•      Stay current on emerging AI and automation tools relevant to finance operations and proactively recommend improvements

What We Are Looking For

•      Bachelor''''s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field

•      Experience working with financial data (journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, close processes, etc.)

•      Hands-on experience with SAP (SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA, or similar modules) is a plus

•      Familiarity with AI/ML tools and interest in applying them to finance use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive analytics, generative AI for reporting)

•      Strong SQL and data manipulation skills is a plus; Excel power-user capabilities

•      Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) a plus

•      Understanding of accounting principles and journal entry / GL processes

•      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy

•      Strong communication skills — able to explain technical solutions to non-technical finance stakeholders

What Makes You a Great Fit

•      Energetic and self-driven — you take initiative and enjoy finding better ways to do things

•      Naturally curious about new technology, especially AI, and excited to apply it in a business context

•      Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

•      A collaborative mindset — you enjoy working cross-functionally with finance, accounting, and IT teams

•      Thrives on building things from scratch and continuously improving existing processes

Nice to Have

•      Prior experience in a shared services, controllership, or finance transformation function

•      Exposure to SAP automation tools (e.g., SAP Intelligent RPA, SAP Build) just a plus

•      Certifications in RPA platforms, data analytics, or AI/ML fundamentals

Why Join Us

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of finance operations by combining financial expertise with cutting-edge automation and AI technology. You''''''''ll have the autonomy to identify problems, propose solutions, and see your automation work directly reduce manual effort across the finance organization.
