Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center co-located within 20 locations. Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. Position Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is an essential member of the finance team. Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will serve as the lead for all accounts payable functions. In addition, the Accounts Payable Specialist will answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. They will ensure the agency is compliant with local, state, and federal standards, policies, and guidelines. The Accounts Payable Specialist will promote Honor Community Health services while maintaining strong internal and external relationships, completing reports, and special projects. In addition, the Accounts Payable Specialist works collaboratively to create and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing compassionate and high-quality health care to all.
What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • A general knowledge of using a Financial Accounting System such as Sage or QuickBooks to create accounting entries to record expenses and revenues.
  • This is an entry-level accounting position that requires the use of Excel and the experience of an individual that is detail oriented.
  • This person should have a good knowledge of the difference between a Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 skills
