Job description

Royal Collision Repair is looking for an experienced Painter to join our body shop team in Eugene, Oregon. We are seeking someone with strong paint preparation, refinishing, color matching, and finish quality experience. This is not an entry-level position.


This role will focus on painting, refinishing, and cosmetic repair work on RVs, motorhomes, trailers, and other larger vehicles. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean, professional work and understands the importance of proper prep, attention to detail, and delivering a high-quality finished product. We recently installed a brand-new 60-foot, state-of-the-art paint booth, giving the right painter a professional setup to do clean, efficient, high-quality work on larger vehicles.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and final prep
  • Mix, match, and apply paint for RV, automotive, and body shop repairs
  • Perform refinishing work on panels, fiberglass, metal, and related surfaces
  • Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other refinishing materials as needed
  • Inspect finished work for quality, color match, texture, coverage, and overall appearance
  • Perform touch-ups, blending, and correction work when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint and prep area
  • Follow proper safety procedures when working with paint, chemicals, and equipment
  • Work with body technicians, estimators, and management to complete jobs efficiently
  • Document work performed as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, RV, collision, marine, or related paint/refinishing work
  • Strong knowledge of paint prep, masking, sanding, priming, and refinishing processes
  • Ability to mix, match, blend, and apply paint professionally
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finish work
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience painting RVs, motorhomes, trailers, or large vehicles
  • Fiberglass repair and refinishing experience
  • Collision repair or body shop experience
  • Experience with paint booths, spray equipment, and refinishing systems
  • Ability to perform minor body repair or prep work when needed
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills


Compensation

Pay is competitive and will be based on skill level, experience, and demonstrated ability. We are willing to pay appropriately for the right experienced painter.
