Job Title: Cable TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated, entry-level Fiber Optic Technician to join our team in the Apex, NC area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the telecommunications field. As an apprentice, you will work alongside an experienced technician, gaining hands-on training and real-world experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist experienced fiber technicians in daily tasks.
- Learn how to install, splice, and terminate fiber optic cables.
- Assist with running fiber lines, performing hookups, and completing offsets.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of fiber optic systems.
- Help prepare job sites, organize materials, and maintain equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills- Strong desire to learn a skilled trade and build a career.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically able to lift, carry, and perform manual labor as needed.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Apex area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications- Basic knowledge of telecommunications or construction work (preferred).
- Experience using hand tools or working in field environments (preferred).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
