Job description

Role Summary

You will lead analytics to evaluate pharmacy and clinical programs, inform product strategy, and identify opportunities to improve total cost of care and enhance customer experience. You will assess performance of existing programs, size new opportunities (e.g., bringing ESI's More Than Rx program to Cigna), and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • You'll evaluate the performance of existing pharmacy programs and identify opportunities to improve financial and health outcomes for customers, clients, and Cigna
  • Assess the impact and value of new pharmacy opportunities, including sizing potential and prioritizing investments
  • Build and maintain scalable datasets using large healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims
  • Develop clear, structured presentations and lead consultative discussions with product, clinical, and analytics stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop, socialize, and influence recommendations that drive business decisions
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, with demonstrated ability to work independently on ambiguous problems
  • Consultative approach - ability to suggest ideas, structure problems and influence decisions
  • SQL and data manipulation across large, complex datasets
  • Presentation and storytelling - ensuring work is communicated, understood, and actually used
  • Python or R - basic proficiency or better
  • Experience with statistical methods or advanced analytics
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Healthcare or health services experience (e.g., pharmacy benefits, clinical programs, or claims data)
  • Familiarity with analytical methods (e.g., causal inference, propensity matching) and their application to real-world data
  • Familiarity with data science workflows
