Project Interior Designer – Fort Worth / Dallas / Plano, TX


A national architecture and design group is seeking a Project Interior Designer to support education-focused interiors across the Fort Worth, Dallas, and Plano market. This role is ideal for an interior designer who enjoys leading design concepts, coordinating documentation, working with clients, and helping create spaces that support students, educators, and communities.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in more than finish selection. You will help guide interior environments from programming and concept development through documentation, coordination, and construction support.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead interior design efforts for education-focused projects
  • Develop concepts, presentations, finish palettes, and interior design packages
  • Coordinate FF&E, materials, furniture, and specifications
  • Work with clients, architects, consultants, and internal design teams
  • Support project documentation from design through construction administration
  • Review drawings, finishes, and details for quality and coordination
  • Help manage schedules, deliverables, and project communication
  • Mentor junior designers and support team growth


What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a strong interior designer with technical ability, client-facing confidence, and experience delivering interiors projects from concept through completion.

Qualifications may include:

  • Professional interior design experience in an architecture or interiors firm
  • Experience with education, civic, institutional, or community-focused interiors preferred
  • Strong Revit, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Experience with FF&E, finishes, specifications, and client presentations
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to coordinate with architects, consultants, and project teams
  • NCIDQ, RID, LEED, WELL, or similar credentials preferred
