Job description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Vaccination Crew team member in Oakwood.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday approximately 5:00am-3:00pm and Tuesday through Friday approximately 6:30am-3:00pm.

STARTING HOURLY RATE:$19.35 with the potential of increasing to $21.30 after 90 days

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company approval)

All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:

  • Setting up and tearing down of vaccinating equipment
  • Retrieving birds
  • Using proper techniques for subcutaneous, tail and wing injections.
  • Caring for ill birds per veterinary and manager guidance while maintaining proper records
