Whether you've worked on cars, farm equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, or simply have strong mechanical aptitude, we'll help you build the skills needed to become a well-rounded Tractor/Trailer technician.

What You'll Do

As a Trailer Mechanic, you'll:
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections 
  • Repair trailer brakes, suspension, hubs, and wheel ends 
  • Replace lights, wiring, ABS components, and electrical systems 
  • Repair doors, roofs, floors, and trailer bodies 
  • Diagnose and repair air systems 
  • Perform DOT inspections 
  • Weld and fabricate minor trailer repairs (training available) 
  • Work alongside experienced technicians while developing your skills 
As your experience grows, you'll have opportunities to train on:
  • Diesel engines 
  • Tractor preventative maintenance 
  • Air brake systems 
  • Truck electrical diagnostics 
  • Steering and suspension 
  • Engine diagnostics and repair
