Overview

Material Handling Associates could be assigned to our main warehouse or one of our production buildings performing responsibilities in one or more of the following areas:  receiving, kitting, storing materials, stock monitoring, material distribution and shipment preparation to keep production running efficiently.  The work environment includes both indoors and outdoors while preparing material for transport.

Transportation team members are responsible for the safe loading, unloading and transporting of material between warehouse and production buildings.  The operation of a Class 6 or lower size truck to make deliveries and pickups across the production site as well as operating a forklift will be required. This is not a requirement to drive in a commercial delivery capacity on public highways.  The majority of your work will be outdoors in the elements requiring work in both hot and cold conditions, standing for long periods, walking, and the use of safety toe footwear.

Material Handling Associate / Transportation Team Member - Weekend Training ClassesPre-employment Training

AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training for Lockheed Martin's facility near Troy, Alabama. Training will be conducted for Material Handling Associate / Transportation Team Member. Successful completion of training can lead to exciting entry-level opportunities with Lockheed Martin.

Pre-employment training will consist of 40 hours of training conducted during two (2) weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 7:30 am-5:00 pm. Only apply for this opportunity if you can commit to this schedule.

Pay: $20 - $24 per hour, based upon verifiable manufacturing experience, annual increases of $1.00 per hour; top out at $32.48/hr. Promotional opportunities with wages up to $38.51/hr.

By contributing at least 8%, employees can achieve the full 10% company contribution, fully vested after five years of service.
General Requirements

Previous industrial material handling and forklift operations preferred. Seeking individuals with a dedication to quality and a desire to excel. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Trainees who successfully complete pre-employment training will be required to obtain a security clearance and must undergo a complete background investigation and drug screening prior to their start date with Lockheed Martin. The ability to obtain and maintain an Explosive Employee Possessor license is a condition of employment for all LM-Troy employees at Pike county Operations.
