Overview

The missile assembler may require multiple functions/disciplines including, but not limited to material handling, assembly operations, inspection, test, integration of hardware, parts kitting, warehousing, fork truck operations, calibration, configuration data management, etc.

Missile Assembler - Weekend Training ClassesPre-employment Training

AIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training for Lockheed Martin's facility near Troy, Alabama. Training will be conducted for Missile Assemblers. Successful completion of training can lead to exciting entry-level opportunities with Lockheed Martin.

Pre-employment training will consist of 40 hours of training conducted during two (2) weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 7:30 am-5:00 pm. Only apply for this opportunity if you can commit to this schedule.

Pay: $20 - $24 per hour, based upon verifiable manufacturing experience, annual increases of $1.00 per hour; top out at $34.50/hr. Promotional opportunities with wages up to $38.51/hr.

  • 4 weeks accrued paid personal time off.

  • $1,500 sign-on bonus available to graduates who possess an active or reinstatable DoD Secret clearance prior to their start date with Lockheed Martin.
  • Competitive benefits package includes: Health, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; life insurance; and 401(k) retirement savings with company contributions of up to 10% of your base pay. By contributing at least 8%, employees can achieve the full 10% company contribution, fully vested after five years of service.
General Requirements

Previous industrial experience in assembly of electro/mechanical devices or ordnance assembly preferred. Seeking individuals with a dedication to quality and a desire to excel. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Trainees who successfully complete pre-employment training will be required to obtain a security clearance and must undergo a complete background investigation and drug screening prior to their start date with Lockheed Martin. The ability to obtain and maintain an Explosive Employee Possessor license is a condition of employment for all LM-Troy employees at Pike county Operations.
