What's this team like at Etsy?
Within Brand Marketing, the Performance Marketing team focuses on measurable, low-funnel growth through channels like Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, and more. We collaborate closely with partner teams such as Analytics, Product, and Engineering in order to automate and optimize global offsite experiences and programs at scale. As a team, we value data-driven decision making, experimentation, operational excellence, and cross-functional partnership.
What does the day-to-day look like?
In this role, you'll support the day-to-day management of the paid social and display platforms that power Etsy's low-funnel advertising. You will partner with senior channel owners to learn the ropes of large-scale campaign management, marketing technology, and attribution frameworks while ensuring our daily operations run at peak efficiency.
In this role you will:
  • Support campaign builds and QA
    • Assist with building, launching, and QA-ing campaigns across paid social and/or display platforms (for example: creative trafficking, catalog updates, audience implementation, and pixel/tag checks).
    • Help ensure ads follow Etsy's naming conventions, UTM standards, and creative/spec guidelines before launch.
  • Help maintain and optimize product feeds
    • Support day-to-day management of large-scale product feeds and associated catalog sales campaigns.
    • Flag feed or catalog issues (missing images, disapprovals, mismatched categories) and partner with more senior teammates and XFN partners on fixes.
  • Monitor pacing and performance
    • Check platform dashboards and internal trackers to monitor budget pacing, delivery, and key performance metrics.
    • Surface anomalies (performance spikes/drops, delivery issues, broken links, tracking problems) quickly and assist in root-causing and correcting them.
  • Contribute to optimizations
    • Research and propose bid and budget adjustments to help ensure campaigns hit efficiency and volume targets.
    • Assist in creating and updating audience structures, exclusions, and blocklists.
  • Support testing and experimentation
    • Help set up and track creative and audience tests.
    • Maintain test logs and help compile simple summaries of results for the broader team.
  • Assist with reporting and communication
    • Pull recurring performance exports from platforms and support creation of simple views or dashboards for weekly readouts.
    • Help compile slides or notes for internal updates, post-mortems, and leadership-facing report-outs.
  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
  • Experience & skills
    • 0-2 years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, analytics, or a related field; internships, co-ops, or project experience are welcome.
    • Basic familiarity with paid social and/or display platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Display Network, or similar), whether from coursework, certifications, or hands-on experience.
    • Comfort working with data in tools like Excel/Google Sheets; exposure to SQL or a BI tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus, but not required.
    • Strong quantitative skills and excitement about learning how to interpret performance data (e.g., ROAS, CPA/CAC, CTR, CVR, LTV).
    • A curious, problem-solving attitude!
