Overview Syndeo has a direct hire opportunity for a detail-driven residential construction Estimator to support custom & production homebuilding projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to estimate labor, material, and time requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for translating blueprints into accurate, computer-based cost estimates, ensuring every material, quantity, and cost is accounted for and estimated accurately.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review blueprints and construction plans to develop accurate, line-by-line cost estimates for residential projects
  • Perform on-screen takeoffs using PlanSwift software to determine material quantities
  • Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors
  • Combine data into comprehensive estimates that reflect full project costs
  • Enter and manage estimating data within the Mark Systems ERP, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the system
  • Analyze and problem-solve within the ERP environment, adapting a production-focused system to support custom build needs
  • Track material price fluctuations and project costs to ensure compliance with the budget and protect profit margins
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and leadership to validate assumptions, quantities, and pricing
  • Maintain organized documentation and version control of estimates and supporting data and continuously look for ways to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and system usage

Required Skills and Experience
