Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – Labor & Delivery for a very fast-paced, high-acuity maternity unit. This unit averages 20 births in 24 hours and 30–40 admissions, with double labor assignments occurring daily.
 

Ideal candidates must have experience in a high-volume L&D environment with more than 300 births per month. Strong preference for nurses with C-section circulating/OR experience.

This is a challenging unit and may not be appropriate for nurses without substantial high-volume L&D experience.

  • Patient ratio: 2:1
  • Average births: ~20 per 24 hours

The Birthing Care Unit cares for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum and high-risk antepartum/postpartum care. The high-risk maternity service may also care for patients under 16 weeks.

Services include:

  • Obstetrical triage
  • High-risk antepartum and postpartum care
  • Scheduled and unscheduled C-sections
  • Rescue cervical cerclage
  • Antenatal fetal surveillance
  • IV hydration and medication administration
  • High-risk maternity care
