Salary: USD $80,000 โ€“ $100,000 / yr

Travel: High (In-person court appearances throughout Florida)

The Opportunity

A growing regional Creditors' Rights law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to manage legal matters from inception through post-judgment remedies. The ideal candidate will consistently deliver high-quality legal representation, treat all customers with fairness and respect, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is especially well-suited for a newly barred attorney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, solutions-focused interactions with customers while creating fair, sustainable payment resolutions.
  • Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload and offer expert guidance on legal and regulatory risks.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to efficiently resolve cases.
  • Travel to courts throughout Florida , as needed, to represent clients and attend hearings.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to report on activity, results, and case progression.




Requirements

  • Active Florida law license required.
  • Bonus: Multi-state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in additional states within our footprint (via UBE transfer or reciprocity, where applicable), including NC, SC, TN, MI, PA, RI, MD, VA, GA, and FL.
  • 0โ€“3 years' experience in bankruptcy, collections, civil litigation, or related areas (court experience a plus).
  • Knowledge of federal debt collection laws and state civil litigation procedures.
  • Ability to analyze case law and provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualified applicants must reside in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. This is a remote role; however, it requires in-person court appearances throughout the state of Florida.
