Entry Level Accounting Clerk (prefect opportunity for fresh graduates)
Location: Corona, CA
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire, full-time hours
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Corona. This role will support daily accounting operations by assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial recordkeeping, and administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with processing vendor invoices, payment requests, and customer payments
  • Accurately enter and maintain financial information within the company's accounting system
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities through data gathering and account analysis
  • Maintain organized accounting records and ensure documentation is properly filed and retained
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial transactions
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for management review
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide requested financial records
  • Follow established accounting procedures and internal control guidelines
  • Support various accounting and administrative projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheets
  • Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations-driven environment
